We do our best to package shipments, wrapping each one in a thermal foil and packing ice packs in the box. However, nothing is 100% when shipping chocolate and Chocolates El Rey takes no responsibility for the possibility of partially melted chocolate, especially if you select Ground as a shipping option. Also please note - we do not have delivery trucks, so after we tender a package to Fedex or UPS, it is very much out of our hands and we have little to no control over it after that.
El Rey does not disclose customer info to anyone, and follows PCI compliance guidelines for security. For extra safety, we do not keep any credit card numbers on file, and all transactions are processed through Paypal Payments, which has an excellent record of payment security.
Because chocolate is very perishable and fragile, we do not accept returns after an item has been shipped. However, if the shipping carrier has made a mistake or damaged an item, we will assist the customer in filing a claim for the cost of the order.
